Campaign

Campaigns are the launching pad for your popup marketing strategy. Creating a campaign allows you to set up which design is being used in a popup and when, where and how it will be displayed on your website. If you want to create a campaign make sure to first create a design to load into it.

Conversion

A conversion is made whenever a conversion button hotspot is pressed on a popup. If there’s a text input hotspot with validation on the popup design, the conversion won't be completed until the the text is submitted without validation issues. If a popup is closed without clicking the conversion button, by for example, clicking on background, closing the popup with the top right X button or closing it with a cancel button hotspot.

Above image is taken from Step 2 of the Designs / Create Design section after uploading an image.

Design

Every popup has a design that must be specified for it to load. It is the actual content that is displayed in a popup. Setting up a design involves either choosing a template or uploading a premade design from your computer. If it’s an uploaded design, you will need to draw the hotspot regions of the design using Step 2 to of the Create Design section.

Above is an example image of a popup design.

Hit

A hit, represents a triggered popup. This is a parent category for the terms visitation and impression because both of these are hits. The difference between the two of them is if it was the first hit ever or not.

Impression

A hit represents a request for one of your popups. This is a parent category for the terms visitation and impression because both of these are hits. The difference between the two of them is if it was the first hit ever or not.

Popup

A popup is a graphical user interface ( GUI ) display area, usually a small box, that suddenly appears ("pops up") in the foreground of a webpage. Popups can be initiated by the triggers defined in your campaign settings.

Trigger

A popup is not opened when a page first loads. You must define what will cause a popup to load from either your campaign settings or using our API tool. In your campaign settings you can define the rules that will cause a popup to open. Likewise the API provides tools that allow you to manually launch a popup.

Visitation

A visitation represents a new hit from someone triggering a popup of on your site for the first time.

Hotspot

A hotspot is placed on top of a design to define the dynamic regions. There are three types of hotspots that are available.

  1. Conversion button

This button represents to positive or affirmative button. It is also the button responsible with submitting content from a text input hotspot.
  2. Cancel button

This button will close the popup. If you want an alternative close button to the circle X button at the top right or even replace it completely removing the normal close button using the campaign settings.
  3. Text input

This button will close the popup. If you want an alternative close button to the circle X Use the hotspot to indicate where a text box is located on a design. This will enable that region for user text input.
