Website hits

The hits page is where you can find a log of all any servers that had hits on your popups. Much domain the Website Domain features except this list contains actual paths rather than domains. You can arrive to the hits page in 3 ways.

  1. First way is to click on a domain on the list in the Website Domains section. This will take you the list Hits page but it will filter the list to only show hits from the domain you clicked on.
  2. The second way is clicking on the Hits link on the left navigation menu in the Websites section in your Dashboard.
  3. After clicking on the Websites / Hits link on your dashboard. You taken to a list of all hits from all servers that might be connected to your account. Clicking on one of the items on this list will reload the hits page but with the results narrowed down to the domain name of the hit.

There are 4 buttons located above hits after they are filtered by a domain.

  1. Add URL

This prompt a dialog where you can provide a specific URL that you would like to add to this list. URL’s are normally added to this list be being detected automatically but lets say if you want to just make sure a specific path is being checked for installation, you can manually add any url you want this way.
  2. Test All

Just like the Check Servers in the Domains sections. This will launch a background process which will check each URL on this list to see if it's properly installed with Exitget. Based on the result of this test it will use the same color coding found in the documentation located on the Domains section.
  3. Block Domain

You are able to block a whole domain from accessing your popup scripts. This was added so that you have full control from your dashboard which servers are implemented. This takes away the need to go back and forth installing and uninstalling on specific domains if you choose to active or deactive in specific places. After clicking the Block Domain button the Exitget service will no longer run on this domain and a new button will appear on the top panel.
Hitting the red Domain Blocked button will unblock this domain. Hitting the red Delete button will remove all logs of hits from this domain but it will also unblock this domain.
  4. Export to CSV

Just like in the Domains section, this button will start a download of a CSV file to your computer. The CSV file will contain all the information provided in the list you have on this current page in a comma delimited format, making it a lot easier to import into other software if needed.

If you click on a URL after it has been filtered by domain, it will take you to a new page which breaks down some statistics for this specific URL.

In this sections of hits your are shown a URL with all its statistics. This means we’re looking statistic that this URL was involved in creating. For example here we can see a campaign was involved in 6 Visitations under this URL. In the above example a small trash icon is displayed on the top right of the campaign icon. This is to indicate that the campaign has been deleted but we’re still able to show you the statistics of it anyway. At the top you see a summary of the hits and conversions you find in the list. An extra item is in the summary called Activity, which represents how many times this this url had a popup which was ready to load but may have not triggered.

There are 3 buttons available in this section:

  1. Test Installation

This will immediately test the current url to see if its installed successfully or not from what our servers can see.
  2. Block Address

You can block this specific URL if you wish.
  3. Export to CSV

Export all the campaign data available on this page into CSV format.
